Velvet Hours publishes a snapshot probability of naked-eye aurora detection, and a plain-language call, for a named site — and checks those calls against observers on the ground. It is being built for Whitehorse, Yellowknife and Iqaluit.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (GeoMet), GFZ Potsdam and NOAA SWPC, at low volume and on
a fixed schedule. Requests are never sent with Cache-Control: no-cache. If anything
we do is a problem for you, write and it will be changed.
